ベイビークリニックで体重を量ったが先週と変わりなし。以前はよく寝ていたのに、最近、夜中に2，3回起きることをヘルスビジターのJackieに話すと、ミルクが足らないかもしれないから、離乳食を始めてみるのも一つの手だと言われた。英国のガイドラインは、生後6ヶ月はミルクオンリーなのだが、私の寝不足気味の顔をみて、あなたも楽になるわよ、お母さん次第だけどね、と言った。何カートンかレディメイドのフォーミュラが余っているので、それを寝る前にあげてしばらく様子をみることにしよう。それから、引っ越し後も、Wapping Health Centreのヘルスビジターに電話相談してもいいそうだ。
さて、今日はベイビークリニックの後、Turks Headカフェ、その後、John Orwell Sports Centreのカフェ、そしてまた夕方にTurks Headに行った。と、いうのも、昨日Turks Headに行った時はかなり混んでいて、シルバンとあまりお話ができなかったから、今日行くと約束してあったのだ。Turks Headでのりこさんやしのぶさんと合流して、Sports Centre のカフェにはしごするためお店を出ようとすると、シルバンに「え、もう帰るの？」と名残惜しそうに言われたので、「じゃあまた後で来るね」ということになった。閉店時間間際にしばらくおしゃべりをして、本当に、彼女と最後のお別れをした。
Turks Headは、Wappingの数少ないカフェの一つで、John Orwell Sports Centreの向かいにある。外から見るとどう見てもパブだから（数年前まではパブだった）、私は最近までカフェだとは知らなかった。オムツ替え台もあるチャイルドフレンドリーなカフェで、オーナーもスタッフもみんな明るいトルコ人。ソファがあって、ママ友達とおしゃべりしながら授乳もできるから、ついつい長居してしまう。そして、何回か通っているうちに人懐っこいスタッフと仲良しになった。こんなところにも、お別れがあってしんみり・・・。

Went to the baby clinic. Arata hasn't gained any weight since last week. I told Jackie, a health visitor, that he used to sleep nearly all night but has started to wake up often. She said starting solid is one of the options. I want to wait till he reaches 6 months so we will give Arata some ready made formula before going to bed and see how it works.
We then went to the Turks Head cafe, before and after we went to the cafe at the John Orwell Sports Centre to see some of our friends. Well, when we went to the Turks Head yesterday, it was so packed and I could not talk to Sirva much. I promised to come back today. Arata and I went to see her in the morning but went back just before the cafe was closed. Sirva and I exchanged our e-mail addresses and said really good-bye.....
The Turks Head is one of the few cafes in Wapping. It's located in the corner of a park and opposite the John Orwell Sports Centre. If you look at it from outside, you think it's just a pub. (It was really a pub till a couple of years ago.) And, I also believed that it was a pub till recently. But the Turks Head is a really nice cafe in this area. All the staff are friendly Turkish. What's more, it's a child friendly cafe and they have a nappy changing facility and 2 long sofas where you can feed babies while chatting with your friends. I don't know how many time I've been there to spend time with other mums. That's how I got to know Sirva. There is a small farewell here, too....
