今日はNew Maldenに遊びに行った。話題のドライブスルーもあるKrispy Kreameは、アメリカ経営らしく、マクドナルドみたいなレストランだった。私の持っていたイメージは、ちょっと高級なおいしいドーナッツなので、マックじゃあいささかイメージダウン。もっと大人の女性向けのお茶ができるようなカフェか、せめて、スタバのようなお店にした方がよさそう。お店の中でドーナッツを作っていて、作り立てをラインからピックアップしてサービスしてくれる。
WokingからWaterlooへは頻繁に特急が走っているが、その途中のNew Maldenに行くとなると、Surbitonまで行って鈍行に乗り換えなければならない。往復4.70ポンドだからそんなに悪くないが。アラタは電車に乗るのが大好き。今日も機嫌がよかった。New Maldenの駅にはエレベーターがないのでバギーを押す私には不便だけど、コリアンタウンがあるので通っちゃいそう。（もちろん、今日はJINMIという量り売りのお店でキムチや焼肉用肉なども仕入れてきた。）
We went to New Malden. The Krispy Kreame there was a McDonald like restaurant with a drive through. They have a doughnut line inside and we can get a piece of free 'just made' doughnut! It was really yummy!
From Woking, there are frequent train services to Waterloo but to go to New Malden, which is just in between, we have to go to Surbiton and change to a slow train. (4.70 pounds return.) Arata loves travelling on train. He was happy as usual today. As New Malden is famous for its Korean town, I can't avoid going there often. (Of course, I bought BBQ meat, Kimchi etc from the store called JINMI.) The only drawback is there is no lift at New Malden station and I have to carry up and down the buggy.
