アラタのまた従兄弟、ベンの6歳の誕生日パーティーへ行った。ベンのお父さん、デイビッドはJasonのいとこで、奥さんのカレンはイギリス人。最近、オーストラリアからイギリスへ引っ越して来た。ポーツマス近くのカレンの妹さん宅には、イギリスには珍しくプールがあった。アラタは別に用意された子供用プールで、初スイミング！のはずが、冷たいお風呂に驚いて大泣き。
We went to Ben's 6th birthday party. He is Arata's second cousin. Ben's father, David is Jason's cousin. His wife, Karen, is English and they have recently moved back to England from Australia. The party was held at one of Karen's sisters' house near Portsmouth. Arata tried his first swim in a small pool but he could not stop crying. He must have felt frightened by a big cold bath!
