Flu in tropical country

In the last 2 weeks, all of us except for Jason haven't been feeling well. On the same day at about the same time, Arata and I suddenly came down with a temperature. We were in bed for 2 days. After Arata got better, it was Takara's turn. He had terrible coughs and he could't go to kindergarten for a few days. At the same time, I had a sinusitis problem and had a temperature again.....

I've recently found that we were not on medical insurance in this country, so I don't want to spend much money on medical services. Arata and I didn't go to see a doctor as a result. But I took Takara to his doctor as I thought he had another asthma attack. When I told the doctor all of us had a terrible cold he said it must be the flu. In Malaysia, during monsoon season, from April to July, is the flu season. He recommends us to have a immunisation next year!

I thought flu is going around only in winter. In fact, it is more to do with whether people stay inside longer. In winter, we tend to stay inside and during monsoon season, we also often stay inside, to spread germs.....
