あと4日でちょうど赤ちゃんは20週になる。胎動はまだかしらと気になっている毎日だ。それらしい兆候がある。お腹の中で小さいシャボン玉が「ぽん」とはじけるみたいな感覚を感じることがある。一回きりだし、本当にたまになんだけど、腸の動きとも違うような気がするし、もしかしたら赤ちゃんが動いているのかなあ。赤ちゃんの大きさは頭からおしりまでで、１５CMほど。髪の毛が生えてくる時期らしい。20週の超音波検査まであと一週間。Jason は初めて赤ちゃんを見れるからいまから待ち遠しいらしく、その話しをしている時は興奮気味だ。
今週もよく食べた。火曜日は Girls Night。ますみ、まゆみちゃん、のりこさん、かわのとスローンスクエアのイタリアンに行った。早めに着いた私は駅のそば、Duke Of York Square のカフェでぼーっとする時間も持ててリラックス。水曜日はオフィスの会議室でスタッフドリンク。私は飲めないからお寿司をぱくぱく食べた。後から来たかわのが何か食べて帰ろうって言うのでついでにざるそばまで食べてしまった。今日はお好み焼きを作って食べた。明日はToshさんなんかとまた New Malden で韓国焼肉を食べる予定。
この間マークスアンドスペンサーで妊婦用のブラについてお店の人と少し話した。ワイヤー入りのブラは母乳が出る神経の発達を妨げたりするらしく、妊娠中はあまりしない方がいいらしい。妊娠中でブラのサイズが１，２上がるらしいが、もらった説明書きによると 18、23、30-32週でブラのサイズを再チェックすること。そして 37 週で授乳用ブラを検討することとある。いちいちそんなに買うのはもったいない。以前から持っていたうち、大き目のでしばらくしのいで、授乳用のブラで後半は代用できないだろうか。みんなどうしているのだろう。妊婦用パンツなんてのもあるらしいが。
ところで、ちょっと Discharge が多いんじゃないかって気になる。細菌感染を起こしていると早産の危険が高まったりするらしいので、来週 Midwife に会ったときに相談しよう。
In 4 more days, my baby will be on its half way through. I've been wondering when the baby starts to move? There have been a couple of suspicious cases. I sometimes feel a subtle single sound, as if a small bubble burst. It's always only once and quite rare but it seems different from noises from intestines. The baby must be about 15 cm from the head to bottom by now and may have started to grow hair. This time next week, we will be able to see another scanning image of our baby. It will be Jason's first time to meet the baby, and whenever he is talking about that, he seems quite excited!
I've eaten quite well this week. On Tuesday, I went to a nice Italian in Slone Sq. with Masumi, Mayumi, Noriko and Kawano. I arrived a bit early and had time to relax at a cafe in Slone Sq. We had a company drinks on Wednesday and since I can not drink, I ate lots of Sushi. But when Kawano asked me to go to eat dinner, I also had a bowl of noodle.... I've cooked Okonomiyaki today and will go back to New Malden to have another Korean BBQ tomorrow!
I talked about maternity bras with a shop assistant at Marks and Spencer's a couple of days ago. She told me that under-wired bras are not good for us because they may prevent some nerve around the breasts from developing properly. And the bra size may go up one or two during pregnancy. According to the booklet she gave me, in 18, 23 and 30-32 week, we need to re-measured our bra size and in about 37th week, we should consider buying a special bra of feeding. Well, I can not afford to buy so many and I must live up with the ones I have in the meantime, and hopefully, I will only need to buy a couple of feeding bras towards the end. I wonder how other mother-to-bes are doing. There are also special knickers for pregnant women!
I feel discharge is quite lots recently. If there is bacterial infection, the chance of premature delivery will increase. I need to talk about this with my midwife next time.
