フィンランド旅行 20/08/04 - 29/08/04 Day 9

きのうも今日も体調はよい。今日はトゥルクからバスで３０分ぐらいの所にある、ナータリという海沿いの街へ行った。ここにはムーミンワールドがあるため、日本人の観光客も多いらしいが、もうシーズンオフで閉園していた。小ぢんまりとしたかわいい街だったが、天気も悪く、海沿いのカフェで軽く食事をして早々とトゥルクに戻って来た。

ここ数日、どうもブラがきつくて、胸の下にワイヤーの跡がついてしまっている。たしか、ワイヤー入りブラは乳腺の発育を妨げるからよくないはずと、トゥルクに戻るとマタニティー用ブラとパンツを買った。パンツの方はばかでかい。Jasonに言わせると、「ブリジットジョーンズのパンツみたい。」確かに映画にそんな場面があった。

夕食前にサウナに行くと途中から赤ちゃんを連れた女性が入って来た。赤ちゃんは何やら２つの入れ物で水遊びをしている。この赤ちゃんは本当にまんまるしていてかわいい！ちょうど１才とのこと。「このぐらいの年はなんでもやりたがるけど、なんにもできないのよー」と、お母さん。それにしても何ヶ月からサウナに入れるのと聞くと、「早くて３ヶ月からかな。フィンランドでは赤ちゃんもサウナに慣れなきゃいけないからね」と言っていた。私も１２月に出産予定だと言うと同じ年ぐらいの彼女は３人子供がいると言う。この家族には翌朝の朝食、チェックアウト時、そして街を歩いている時にもばったりと会った。おだやかで優しそうなお母さんと本当にかわいい赤ちゃんだった。フィンランドの赤ちゃんはみんなブロンドでカタリーナをちっちゃくしたみたいでかわいい。

夕食はビール発酵場にあるレストランに行った。

I feel very well today. We went to a small port town, Naantali. It took about 30 minutes from Turku by bus. The Moomin World is in this town and Japanese tourists like this destination but it was already off season. The attraction was closed. The town was tiny and cute but because of the bad weather, we had a coffee break at a cafe, had light lunch at another cafe, then came back to Turku.

In the last couple of days, I've felt my bra has been a bit too tight. I can see lines under my breasts caused by pressing the skin too hard. I have read somewhere that tight bras are not good as they may prevent nerves around the breasts from developing during pregnancy. I decided to buy maternity bra and knickers in Turku. The knickers were white and huge. Jason said, 'It's like Bridget Jones' knickers!'

I went to sauna before dinner. A small baby and her mom came in. The baby was playing with water and 2 small containers in sauna, putting water from one to another. This baby was really cute. Really round and cute!!! Her mom told me that she is just 1 year old. She also said, 'The baby at this age wants to do everything but can not do much.' I asked her when they start to bring their babies to sauna in Finland. She said, 'At earliest, about 3 months old. In Finland, babies must get used to sauna.' I told her that I am expecting a baby and she, who is about my age, told me that she has already had 3 kids. We saw this family at breakfast buffet in the following morning, at check-out and in the town later afternoon. The baby was really cute and the mom was really calm and nice. I've seen so many babies in Finland and found most of them are round and cute, just like mini versions of Katariina!

We had dinner at beer brewery, called 'Koulu'.
