Having a cold

I've got a cold.... I'm worried about passing it to Arata. I've read it will be tough time to the breastfed babies when they have a cold. If their nose is blocked, they can not breastfeed and breathe at the same time and they have to stop taking milk often in order to breathe. This sounds too much to Arata. However, while mothers are having a cold or flu, we shouldn't stop breastfeeding. Breastmilk contains antibodies to the cold mother is suffering from and baby will be protected. Even if he catches a cold from his mum, it wont' be severe. Quite often the whole family have a cold except for a breastfed baby. I wash my hands more often and try not to sneeze on Arata, and breastfeed him wearing Japanese mask for cold!
