Arata's first boy's day

It's Japanese children (boys') day. My parents sent us a set of small Koinobori (carp kites). In Japan, we put up Koinobori in the garden on the children day if the family have a boy. We put it up at our balcony during day. Probably except for the Japanese tourists on the river Thames cruise, people out there only think they are just flying fish! We've also displayed a nice hand made, by my mum's friend, small Koinobori ornament and Kabuto (traditional samurai helmet that is also for children's day) in the sitting room. Arata was so happy to see Koinobori swimming in the sky, sitting in the balcony.
