Plasmon baby pasta

Arata

Josie, an Italian mum from the coffee morning, was feeding her son Luke, with tiny pasta. It's Plasmon baby pasta and very popular in Italy.

Of course, I went to get one. I chose star shaped, 'Pastina Astrini'. The pasta is about 2mm of size, coking time is between 3 to 5 minutes, contains added calcium, iron and vitamins and from 5 months old. Popular baby rice in the U.K. is too "pasty" after mixing rice powder and pre-boiled water and not challenging enough for 8 month old Arata. Japanese boiled rice is still too hard for him and I need to cook it longer to make it porridge or mash it, which is lots of extra work for me. So, Plasmon baby pasta is ideal for lazy me as well! I got a 340g box from an Italian store nearby for only 1.5 pounds, much cheaper than baby rice.
