21Y 19Y 熊谷高校全国大会初出場 First Nationals for Kumagaya Boys' high school

熊谷高校ラグビー部が悲願の初全国大会。大会委員会の推薦枠とは言え、初の快挙。相手はあまりのも強豪で完封負けしちゃったけど、午前休取って観戦へ。

横田先生関係で、山沢兄弟がすぐそこで観ていたので写真撮ってもらいました。

タクシーで熊谷駅→東京駅まで新幹線で出社。新幹線便利すぎる。

I went to watch a rugby match for Kumagaya Boys' high school. It was their first time qualifying for the nationals, although they got in through one of the spots for the recommended spots by the High School Rugby Committee.

They were up against one of the top teams in Japan, so they couldn't win, but it was still a good experience for them. The Yamasawa brothers, Yokota sensei used to coach, were there and I took a photo with them.

I only took half a day off so I got a taxi from the stadium to Kumagaya station, then took the Shinkansen to Tokyo. I hadn't realised how convenient it was to use the Shinkansen. From Kumagawa to Omiya was less than 15 minutes, and to Tokyo, a little over 30 minutes.
